Heidi Trathnigg is co-founder and partner of EnviroPlan Partners, LLC. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from University of California at Santa Cruz in 1996. And in 2002, she received her Master’s in Biology at Northern Arizona University (NAU). She has over 17 years of experience working in the fields of biology, ecological restoration and environmental planning and compliance. She has significant experience as a project manager for many natural resource plans, biological reports, and compliance documents including resource management plans, NEPA document preparation, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act permit applications, wetland delineation, Section 7 consultations and biological assessments and evaluations. Also, Heidi has extensive experience coordinating and facilitating meetings and presentations for and with multiple entities, including Tribal, federal and state agencies, non-profits, and public and private groups for NEPA, Section 7 and natural resource planning.
Additionally, Heidi has designed, developed, implemented, and managed several vegetation, invertebrate, and wildlife monitoring and research projects. Projects include: range inventory studies; habitat characteristics studies; rare plant surveys; restoration habitat monitoring; bird and butterfly recovery in restored habitats; breeding bird surveys; endangered species surveys; and bird, herpetofauna, mammal, and invertebrate community surveys using a variety of sampling techniques. All of her biological project data has been analyzed and prepared in reports, presented at regional, national and international professional conferences, or published in peer review journals. Finally, Heidi is a certified wetland delineator and has completed successful wetland delineations in the arid southwest and beyond. She feels fortunate to live in a beautiful place and integrate her love for the outdoors and work in the field of natural resource planning, biology, permitting, compliance and meeting facilitation.
